1. Restate the duty in one line
Write equipment type, rated capacity with units, load center, lift height, lowered height and aisle width. Add battery voltage or three-phase supply, quantity, destination and the delivery window you want factories to treat as a request, not a promise. If sit-down and walk-behind options are still open, say so instead of asking plants to pick a winner.
2. Separate machine scope from site work
Each factory quote should list the truck, mast, forks and charger as priced items or named exclusions. Pit work, charging-room civil work, anchors, freight and commissioning belong on extra lines. Thomas Supplier Discovery shows a public path of search, shortlist and an RFQ with project notes; that is a directory pattern, not this desk live capability.
3. Compare replies on the same axes
We line up residual-capacity language, free lift, fork length and whether documents attach to the quoted model. A brochure from a sibling series is not accepted as a substitute file. We do not publish a market-discount percentage and we do not grade factories as verified premium or budget plants. Those words stay buyer preference.
4. What stays unconfirmed
Lead time, MOQ, sample policy and installed cost remain factory answers. This desk will not invent a charger room layout, a seismic design input or an OSHA outcome. After a readable brief we contact plants; availability still needs their confirmation. Drawings can follow first contact; there is no upload field on this form.
Units that belong on the brief are listed in the units note. Browse inquiry options when the family name is still too wide. Application constraints such as aisle width, dock height and charging-room power sit on the applications page. Power and operator choices that remain open belong on Power Options.
A useful electric forklift truck comparison names the same residual-capacity basis, the same mast and the same excluded civil work. If one factory includes freight and another excludes it, the two totals are not the same procurement cost. We will not invent a percentage against an unpublished market basket. Optional budget notes help factories see a range; they do not replace the specification line.
