Site and handling conditions

electric forklift trucks

Translate a project application into purchase requirements. Building geometry, pallet size and charging rooms change the specification more than a catalog family name. These scenes are buyer inputs, not proof of installed fleets.

Conditions that rewrite the RFQ

Aisle and rack interface

Aisle width, pallet size, upright height and wire-deck clearance decide whether a compact electric forklift can turn with the quoted mast. Write the millimetre or inch values you already measure on the floor.

Dock and lowered height

Dock height and lowered height belong on the same line as lift height. A truck that clears a mezzanine may still fail a dock board if the forks sit too high when seated.

Charging room power

Battery voltage, charger location and three-phase supply are site constraints. Do not compare a 36 V reply to a 48 V reply as if they were the same duty.

Floor and seismic notes

If the building engineer already named a seismic design input or floor loading limit, attach that note. We will not invent a soil or rack calculation.

Procurement situations, not customer claims

The cards below are check examples. They do not name buyers, savings or completed installs. Two buyer disputes stay open on every electric forklift trucks brief: nameplate capacity is not the same as application load at a stated load center, and an equipment-only price is not the same as installed cost once freight, pit work and commissioning appear.

Specification axes that change the quote
Dispute Do not compare Write instead
Nameplate versus application Bare kg or lb on the plate Rated capacity at a millimetre load center, lift height and attachment
Equipment versus installed A headline truck price that hides extras Machine, freight, pit work, anchors and commissioning as separate lines
Powered versus manual A universal ranking of electric over walkie or hand pallet Duty cycle, lifts per hour and available battery voltage or three-phase supply
Aisle fit Family name only Aisle width, pallet size, mast and free lift in the same units

Replace one sit-down truck

Restate load center, mast and battery voltage from the retiring unit. Ask whether the factory quote includes the charger. Keep pit and charging-room work as extras.

Add a walk-behind for staging

Walk behind electric forklift duty is shorter travel and lower lift. Write aisle pinch points and pallet size so a walkie is not compared to a sit-down nameplate.

New electric forklift for a new aisle

When the aisle is still being set, send rack drawings as a later attachment. The first brief still needs capacity units, destination and whether installation is excluded.

Write the site constraints into the brief

Share product, quantity, destination and building notes. Factory documents still need confirmation after a match.

Request Factory Quotes

Write specifications, quantity, destination and requested delivery or lead time. Include rated capacity, load center, lift height, aisle and power notes when known.
